A Step-by-Step Guide for Digital Estate Clients
If you’re working with Digital Estate on your SEO or website strategy, we may ask you to grant us access to your Google Search Console (GSC) account. This allows us to monitor your website’s performance in search results, identify and fix issues, and keep your site in good health.
Google Search Console is a powerful tool — but it can be a little confusing if you’ve never used it before. That’s why we’ve put together this quick guide to show you exactly how to share access securely with us.
🔒 Important: You are always in control. We’re simply requesting access to view and manage your website’s performance data — you remain the verified owner.
How to Grant Access to Google Search Console
Step 1: Sign in to Search Console
Go to https://search.google.com/search-console and log in using the Google account that owns your website (usually the one used to verify the site originally).
Step 2: Choose the Right Property
In the top-left corner, click the dropdown and select the correct property (your website) from the list.
Step 3: Go to Settings
On the left-hand sidebar, scroll down and click Settings.
Step 4: Click “Users and Permissions”
Inside the Settings page, click Users and permissions.
Step 5: Add a New User
- Click the blue Add user button (top right)
- Enter our email:
workspace@digitalestate.co.nz - Set permission level to Full
- Click Add
🔄 Why It’s Important to Double Check Access
